I think part of the issue is trust. Open education is more than just the content &#8211; once it all becomes just about the &#8220;OER&#8221; then we lose that sense of trust and the spirit of collegiality. We have reduced faculty work and possibly the teaching and learning itself into a transaction. This faculty member I am talking about is sharing her materials to help students and faculty and is not interested in enabling corporations to monetize, however indirectly, her work.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/WAcuoPJI5FM\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t see an issue with non-commercial licenses, but I am interested in hearing why &#8220;CC-by&#8221; is such the gold standard \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This has certainly been an issue for some faculty.
